From old to new pastel chairs...

...and now they are in my kitchen on the dinner table.

Two years ago my brother gave them to my parents. He found them on a housecleaning from an old lady who died. There they were standing in the basement for ages until my parents wanted to sell them on the Internet. First I thought okay, I will do this but then my idea was noway...I am gonna paint them in a nice pastel color for my new home.

We already had some other modern chairs which I don't really like and they don't fit into our new home. So my mum in law took them and I had some free space for some new antique chairs.
They are a little heavy but so strong that a 551 pound person could sit on them.

Homemade Hummus dips...

...are the best!

Hummus is a Middle Eastern and Arabic food spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. You have so many different choices to creat a lovely dip. It's perfect for a party or apérosnack with veggisticks, bread or crackers. First time I heard about Hummus I thought it's something with Lobster and Fish in it because in German Lobster is Hummer and this sounds like Hummus when the Lobster is mashed :) that's why I never searched for this delicious recipe. And now I love it because I love chickpeas and co. so much. The seeds are high in protein, Vitamin B3 and E and low in calories.

My favorite dish are "Capuns"...

...this is typical Swiss meal where you roll two spoons dough with meat in it into a swisschard leaf and boil it until dough is well done.

Eat it just with melted butter and salvia or make a homemade white cheese cream sauce.
I love the cheese sauce over it and bake it in the oven.

Homemade growing swiss chard

Dough with meat and parsley

Boiling until hard about 10min

Put them next each other for a clean freezing

If you wanna freeze them put them next to each other so they won't break into pieces when you'll take them out from the freezer. You can broil them in a pan or bake'em with cheeseflakes and some butter in the oven until they are warm inside.

Don't forget to take out the sticks before you enjoy

Here is the recipe if you wanna try it out. It's so easy and delicious but you need some time to prepare it.

Ingredients for 20 pieces, about 4-5 pieces per person:

  • 400 g flour (1/2 white 1/2 brown)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 dl water
  • 1 dl milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Landjäger (meat like salami)
  • cut parsley
  • 20 pieces swisschard leaf
  • 2 litre water for boiling

Put everything in to mixer and mix until smooth sticky dough.

  • For the white sauce:
  • flour, butter mixed in the pan, stir, stir, stir...
  • add milk until smooth and still stir and add as much cheese as you love.

*Enjoy your meal*

Green Smoothie...

...for pre workout breakfast?
I think that's really good. You will have a light belly if you are going to swim some lengths like me.

Take about 2dl soymilk, 1 cup melones-apples,
3 leaves swiss chard, 1 tsp bee pollen,
1 tsp flaxseeds and 1 scoop protein powder. Mixed it until smooth.

Temperature is going up from hour to hour. Today I think until 27degrees, but I like going to the pool in the mornings, you are alone and can enjoy the silence.

*Have a nice day*

My little garden is growing...

...even summer is not really here yet. Until now we had about 4 days hot summer weather and now it's only 15 degrees. But my zucchinis are growing a lot since the hot impact for 4 days. They are still minis but I hope they are growing big.

Salad, it's skinny growing and the swiss chard looks kinda weird. I thought it will look different but we will see what's happening the next few weeks.

I am happy my lavender and rose plants are growing nice. They bring a little bit of color and summer breath into our garden.

I have some common herbes like parsley, lemon balm, wild chive, wild oregano, peppermint, basilic and nasturtium. Since I learned how to harvest basilic it's growing so fast and nice.

Here you can see some cucumber on the old compost soil. I didn't plant them, they grow from it self. I think maybe from the old seeds in the compost soil. It's a little surprise :)

Also there I planted two pumpkin plants. Hope they will come.

I still can't see any tomatoes. But the bush is growing high.

What's that? I don't know anymore. Maybe cucumber also?? You know it??

July is three days away and we hope for some warm sunny summer months and a good home harvest.

*Nice Day*

Our kitchen remodel...

Kitchen before

3D Kitchenplaner

My dad, mum and boyfriend worked for 3 days to transform our old tight kitchen into a new open large modern kitchen. I was planing the whole thing about 1 year ago on my computer in a 3D kitchenplaner tool.
Now we finally made it happened. We are so happy with it. I am proud my dad can do and know so much different things. Some safe electrician stuff, carpenter, plumbing. We did everything on our self and we've saved so much money. My mum cleaned all the kitchen cabinets and fronts, I am glad I did not have to do that also.

Now five people can stand in the kitchen and prepare a delicious dinner. Before you don't even think about that, maximum one person was alright two persons were already a big mess.

At the beginning

Dishwasher is already gone for a while

Beside the dishwasher under the new breakfast bar I bought a new sideboard from Ikea for some cookbooks, decoration etc. It has now the perfect length for two people sitting there. The beech wood we bought for some good $$ :). I sanded and painted it with a pre paint, sanded it again and finished it twice with a high-solid paint.

For the microwave my dad fixed from an old closet we didn't use anymore a new cabinet with an extra shelfboard in it for breakfast goods.

Kitchen after

The only thing we still have to do is the floor. But not now, it can wait for some time. The parquet floor is already in the basement waiting for his use but we still have to cut out the rest of the concrete from the floor.

But first we enjoy the summer and then other things can come.
