The old antique floorlamp goes shabby chic...

...my grandma asked me if I wanna have this old lamp for my home and I immediately told her yes why not!
Already had a plan, what I am gonna do with this not so nice old lamp.
As I learned that I can use chalk paint on metal, iron and brass too, I tried it out on this floorlamp and it looks awesome!!!

For the lampshade I still got a white shabby one at home which fits perfect on the lamp.

Chalk paint painted chair...

...last Monday I finally went to a Chalk paint workshop in my village (www.26rosegarden.com) and it was so great. Chalk paint was developed from Annie Sloan in 1990 (www.anniesloan.com).
This paint is amazing and I will never buy the acryl color again, bye bye...

SOLD
to a wonderful lady for her new Coffeeshop

before

after, old white and country grey, clear wax whole chair and dark wax on top, some scratches on the sides

It more pricey but that's worth it!! The finish chalk painted furniture have such another touch feeling then a normal acryl painted one, it's more real, real shabby and you don't have to sand the furniture for hours, you just can paint over it and it stays!!

Etagere; little simple project...

Both are sold

...buying a nice etagere can be really expensive, so why do not your own one?

The metalsticks can you order from the internet and the plates go have a look in your grandmothers cupboard or in a secondhandshop.
For doing the perfect little holes you need a diamond drill, icecoldwater to cool it down and a good drill.

Don't rush through it because then for sure the plates will break!! For the first one it took me about 45min!! For the next one only 20min!
Take it easy and calm and you will have at the end a wonderful etagere for your sweets.

Little shabby dresser...

Finally I found some short time to finish my little dresser.

It's all taking a bit longer with a 7 weeks old baby by your side. And I still should do so many things ;) beside sleeping.

Habba habba habba grrrrrrrr
We are so happy, he is so cute, funny and calm. We could cuddle him all the time :)
We enjoyed a beautiful easy pregnancy and fast birth from only 5h, ho ho ho. I'm glad that everything was running like I wished it to be. Nearly no pain, no medication, no stress, lovely people around us, thank you all, and you little boy, you make our little family life just perfect!!!

**WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH**

From now on I am a full time stay at home mommy and watch and help him grow up and learn things for his future life during my hubby has to go work.
It is sad but someone has to bring home
the bread & sweets ;)

A little chic, a little shabby...

After sanding

Before

...finally got the little armoire done. It came out pretty nice. The dirty smokey taste and old dark color is gone and now it is shining bright beige white.
It will find a new place in the bedroom for accessories and stuff...but until then I for sure will move it lots of time...because the new bedroom will be finish in summer.
