Shabby armoire...

...is finish now. He almost landed in the trash, if I would not have that fast view over craigslist.

It was for free, so why not get it?? Was not to far away from my home. So my dad and I drove to that family picked it up and drove home with a old ugly dark armoire on the roof.
I already knew what and where he will be seated :)
A new fresh coat with the old white chalk paint and tadaaaaa...

p.s. My pot of old white is not finish yet even during my absence
I painted a lot more stuff.

Vegan Mozzarella...

...try this recipe it's so good and tasty you not even feel the different between normal diary cheese and this one. It's easy to prepare and really healthy.

For one ball you need:

50g cashew nuts
(soak them for 2h in water to get rid of all the dirty stuff, after drain water away)
200ml water and 1 tablespoon powdered psyllium seed husk
(let it sit for 2h to get a wobbling mass)

1 tablespoon lemonjuice

little bit of salt, pepper

After two hours put everything into a mixer, mix it until smooth, fill it into a little round bowl and let it sit for another hour in the refrigerator put it up side down et voilà your homemade vegan mozzarella is done.

Little night table found a shabby friend...

Before

...finally I found a second night table for our bedroom, then the other one was way too big, always knocked the door on it.

I painted it with the Annie Sloan chalk paint old white, with that 1 Liter of paint I already painted a big armoire, a salver, some deco, a floorlamp, three baskets and this little night table, and I've not even used 1/4 of paint, it's amazing how much you can paint with 1 Liter it's so much fun.
For the antique touch you can use a dark wax but I didn't need it because the wood was already brown and it shimmers through the white paint.

The old antique floorlamp goes shabby chic...

...my grandma asked me if I wanna have this old lamp for my home and I immediately told her yes why not!
Already had a plan, what I am gonna do with this not so nice old lamp.
As I learned that I can use chalk paint on metal, iron and brass too, I tried it out on this floorlamp and it looks awesome!!!

For the lampshade I still got a white shabby one at home which fits perfect on the lamp.

Chalk paint painted chair...

...last Monday I finally went to a Chalk paint workshop in my village (www.26rosegarden.com) and it was so great. Chalk paint was developed from Annie Sloan in 1990 (www.anniesloan.com).
This paint is amazing and I will never buy the acryl color again, bye bye...

SOLD
to a wonderful lady for her new Coffeeshop

before

after, old white and country grey, clear wax whole chair and dark wax on top, some scratches on the sides

It more pricey but that's worth it!! The finish chalk painted furniture have such another touch feeling then a normal acryl painted one, it's more real, real shabby and you don't have to sand the furniture for hours, you just can paint over it and it stays!!

Etagere; little simple project...

Both are sold

...buying a nice etagere can be really expensive, so why do not your own one?

The metalsticks can you order from the internet and the plates go have a look in your grandmothers cupboard or in a secondhandshop.
For doing the perfect little holes you need a diamond drill, icecoldwater to cool it down and a good drill.

Don't rush through it because then for sure the plates will break!! For the first one it took me about 45min!! For the next one only 20min!
Take it easy and calm and you will have at the end a wonderful etagere for your sweets.

Little shabby dresser...

Finally I found some short time to finish my little dresser.

It's all taking a bit longer with a 7 weeks old baby by your side. And I still should do so many things ;) beside sleeping.
